A Legacy of Excellence in Education

Hammanskraal Elite School was established in January 2000 by Mrs Esme Penaar with just 30 learners from Grade 1 to 7. In September 2010, Mr Eric Semenya acquired the school and by January 2014, it had grown into a well-established institution.

Due to growing numbers, a new campus was leased to accommodate the Intermediate and Senior Phase (Grade 4–7), while the original campus remained dedicated to the Foundation Phase (Grade R–3) with 8 classrooms. Both campuses are uniquely situated within the Dinokeng Game Reserve, where learners experience the tranquility of nature and can spot the Big 5 on their way to school.

Today, with 274 learners and 14 dedicated staff members across two campuses, we continue our mission of providing quality education in one of the most unique school settings in Gauteng. Our commitment to academic excellence, character development, and celebrating our rich South African heritage remains at the heart of everything we do.
