Our Approach
A Curriculum Built for Excellence
At Hammanskraal Elite Primary School, we follow the CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement) curriculum as prescribed by the Department of Basic Education. Our primary medium of instruction is English (Home Language), with Afrikaans integrated as the mandatory First Additional Language. All academic instruction, assessments, and official correspondence are conducted in English.
We believe in developing the whole child – academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our balanced approach ensures that learners not only excel in their studies but also develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and a love for learning. The school utilises a system of continuous assessment to monitor and report on learner progress.
Small class sizes allow our teachers to provide individualized attention, ensuring that every learner receives the support they need to reach their full potential. Learners are responsible for the completion of all classwork, homework, and formal assessments.
